Much Depends on Dinner: blessed, broken, forgiven

Passage: Mark 14:12-26; Luke 24:28-35

“Ever since Eve ate apples, much depends on dinner.” wrote Lord Byron. Which is why the table remains so central to the Christian faith. The table is an everyday place of eating and drinking but its a sacred space where people meet God. It’s a setting of welcome set for us by Jesus with a simple invitation: communion. This Sunday we begin a month-long series called At the table, in which we explore the encounters with Jesus over a meal. When you join Jesus at a table, over a simple meal, you’re bound to experience something beautiful, challenging and new.
