Forgiven and forgiving: this Sunday we begin a new Lent series on forgiveness. Forgiving someone else is one of the hardest things a person will do. In our wider world, there is a fading of forgiveness, as people find the idea disturbing and problematic. Yet forgiveness is foundational to the Christian story and central to what it means to be human. So how can we understand well and wisely practice forgiveness?
