Jesus’ Favourite Name for Himself
In this sermon series we are looking at what Jesus said about himself and listening to what Jesus says about himself and reveals about himself. This is what good counsellors and therapists do, what good friends and spouses do -- we listen for all the ways we reveal the truth of who we are in how we talk about ourselves. But do you know the most frequent, the favourite way Jesus refers to himself? It’s the title “son of Man.” That seemingly innocuous title conveyed both a connection to our human life and the audacious claim to be the judge of all things.
