This week we begin a summer long series on the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. Renewals are a necessary part of the life of the church. Because of the default mode of the human heart, spiritual renewal is a pattern repeatedly used by the Holy Spirit to reconnect Christian communities with the power of the gospel. We are called to continually be filled with the Spirit, to walk in the renewing power of the Holy Spirit, people who are graced and gifted with the life of God in us.
