The deadly sin of lust is not simply sexual desire but a disordered, possessive craving that seeks gratification without love or promise. While sexual desire is created by God and inherently good, lust distorts it into self-centeredness and objectification. Lust promises happiness but leads only to emptiness, ashes instead of life. True freedom and healing come not through repression, but through a deeper affection: the grace and beauty of Christ, who can reorient our hearts toward love and wholeness.
